- The VCC focuses on established Microsoft Windows Operating systems and associated software and hardware. Each meeting has a presentation which is approximately 1 hour in length and highlights the features and benefits of using various mature windows products. There are also refreshments and door prizes at each meeting. The meeting ends with a general problem-solving session which is approximately 1 hour in length where the attendees can ask any computer-related question to a panel of technical gurus. VCC occasionally has workshops vs. presentations. On the 5th Friday of the month there is a combined workshop with representatives from each club or group. The typical format consists of tables around the room each staffed with a technical expert and dedicated to a specific subject. Attendees can go to any table of choice and ask any question related to the subject. This is a great format to get questions addressed in an informal environment and also to learn by listening to the conversations around the table. Refreshments are available at these workshops and there are door prizes.
- The VCP focuses on expanded Microsoft Windows Operating systems and associated software and hardware presentations where the attendees will benefit from digging deeper into certain subjects. They also present various types of relevant emerging technology. The presentations are approximately 2 hours long and the time is spent in a more focused approach where the attendees will leave with a working understanding of the software or hardware product.
- The VIP focuses on usability discussions related to the iPad. The typical user has a Windows-based system with iTunes installed. There will be presentations and sharing of information on various iPad apps. Where appropriate there is also discussion on how the apps interact with the Windows OS. The meeting is approximately 1 ½ hours in length.
- Connected Villager Club which meets at 1:00 pm each Monday at the Eisenhower Regional Recreation Center. The Connected Villager Club focuses on television, phone, data, internet, tablets, and entertainment, as well as home automation and any other technologies impacting our residents.
